OXE Locator for Determining the Position of a Camera Head with Depth Measurement
A reliable solution for accurately locating the camera head during inspections of pipelines, sewer systems, and other hard-to-reach areas. The locator receives a signal from the camera head equipped with an integrated 512 Hz transmitter, allowing it to determine the camera head’s current position and simultaneously measure its depth below the surface. This significantly simplifies the process of locating the problem area without unnecessary digging or dismantling surrounding structures.
The measured data, the strength of the received signal, and the battery status are displayed on a clear LCD screen. The receiver’s sensitivity can be continuously adjusted to current conditions, and the units of measurement can be easily switched between meters and inches. The handheld locator features a telescoping design for comfortable use and easy portability and is powered by 6 AA batteries. It is designed for use with compatible OXE inspection cameras equipped with a camera head featuring a 512 Hz transmitter.

Precise camera head location and depth measurement
When inspecting pipes, the locator helps precisely determine the exact location of the camera head. The receiver detects a 512 Hz signal transmitted by a compatible camera head and, based on its intensity, allows the operator to gradually locate its position directly from the surface. At the same time, it can measure the depth at which the camera head is located, which significantly simplifies planning for subsequent work. Problem areas can thus be located more quickly and without unnecessary dismantling of structures or extensive excavation.

Reliable signal reception at 512 Hz
The locator receives a signal transmitted by a compatible camera head with an integrated 512 Hz transmitter. Based on the changing signal strength, the operator can gradually refine the search direction and determine the location of the camera head. This technology is particularly useful for inspecting pipelines and other spaces where the camera head is neither visible from the surface nor directly accessible.
Power Supply and Reliable Operation in Various Conditions
Power is supplied by 6 standard AA batteries, which can be easily replaced as needed. The locator operates with a current draw of approximately 35–55 mA and is designed for use at temperatures ranging from –10 to +50 °C. This makes it suitable for professional indoor inspections as well as outdoor work in various climatic conditions. Batteries are not included.
Clear LCD display and adjustable sensitivity
The easy-to-read LCD display provides immediate information on signal strength and current battery status during localization. The continuously adjustable sensitivity allows you to adapt the receiver to specific conditions and gradually refine the search for the camera head. The measured depth can be displayed in meters or inches, so the operator can easily select their preferred units.

Extendable design for convenient handling
The extendable design allows you to adjust the locator’s length to current conditions and comfortably guide the receiver unit just above the surface being inspected. The control panel remains easily accessible and clearly visible. Once the work is complete, the rod can be retracted, reducing the device’s overall dimensions and making it easier to carry and store.
