The VarmintV2 LRF scopes are powered by a single, non-proprietary, 18650 rechargeable battery, which provides users with 5 - 6 hours of continuous use in the field. The compact design of the VarmintV2 LRF even allows some dual-use functionality as a handheld monocular as well, which helps in surveying your surroundings.
