The entire kit is stored in a practical protective case for safe transport and use in demanding working conditions.

Central real-time control of the inspection system

The MultiCam Control Box serves as a central control unit for connecting compatible camera heads and cable reels. Using a touchscreen tablet, it allows you to monitor the progress of the inspection in real time, adjust the LED lighting, and—depending on the capabilities of the connected camera—control its pan, zoom, or image switching. The technician can also use the digital zoom with a range of 100–200%, a measurement grid, the ability to add notes to the image, and settings for brightness, contrast, saturation, and noise reduction. This provides the technician with a detailed overview of the inspected area and allows for a quick response to the condition of the pipeline or other inspected site.

ITS Reports software with a lifetime license

The pre-installed ITS Reports software with a lifetime license streamlines the entire inspection process, from creating a customer record to processing the final documentation. It allows you to maintain a client database, manage completed inspections, store photos and videos, and edit existing reports. The program runs locally on the tablet itself, so basic functions remain available even when working outside the office. Software updates can be installed directly onto the tablet, allowing the system to be continuously expanded with new features and language versions.

Rugged 10.1" R7 tablet with Android

The control unit includes the Rugged R7 tablet with a 10.1" touchscreen and the Android 13 operating system. It offers 256 GB of internal storage, support for memory cards up to 2 TB, and up to 12 GB of RAM. The display, with a resolution of 800 × 1,280 px and a brightness of 500 cd/m², provides a clearly readable image when working in the field. The tablet’s design meets the IP68 and IP69K protection ratings and the requirements of the MIL-STD-810H standard, making it ready for demanding working conditions. All functions are controlled via the touchscreen and its on-screen keyboard.

Capturing photos and videos directly in the field

During an inspection, you can capture JPEG photos and MP4 videos directly from the live feed. You can add notes to individual recordings and assign them to a specific customer, inspection, or identified defect. The software neatly organizes the captured photos, videos, and other related data, so that the technician has them available immediately in the field and during subsequent documentation processing. The captured data can then be used to create inspection reports or provided to the customer as clear documentation of the inspection performed.

Inspection Reports and 3D Pipeline Visualizations

ITS Reports allows you to create professional inspection reports in accordance with the EN 13508-2 standard and export the resulting documentation to PDF format. During the inspection, you can record individual pipeline sections, defect locations, and related image data. Upon completion of the inspection, the software automatically generates a clear report and a 3D visualization of the pipeline, in which you can track the location of the recorded issues. The generated reports can then be edited, supplemented, and archived for further work or for delivery to the customer.

Connectivity, GPS, and Secure Data Management

The tablet supports connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and 4G LTE mobile networks. It allows you to record the GPS location and address of the inspection being performed, which facilitates accurate tracking of individual jobs. Photos, videos, and generated reports can be synchronized with Google Drive and securely backed up for further processing. Once a phone or computer is connected to the control box’s Wi-Fi network, you can also open the ITS Reports interface in a web browser and work with inspection data on another device.

Convenient connectors, long battery life, and a protective case

The control unit is equipped with separate connectors for the camera system and the cable length counter. The integrated LCD display provides an overview of the battery status and charging, while the built-in fan with dust protection helps maintain stable operation of the electronics. The built-in rechargeable battery offers approximately 7 hours of operation, and it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. The entire unit, measuring 408 × 335 × 130 mm and weighing 5.1 kg, is housed in a durable case that protects the device during transport, storage, and field use.

Compatibility with OXE Inspection Cameras

The MultiCam Control Box can be connected to several professional OXE inspection systems. In compatible setups, it replaces the original control unit and enables touchscreen control, ITS Reports software, and advanced inspection data processing features.

Important Notice: For OXE WellCam systems, the current version of the MultiCam Control Box supports a cable reel with a maximum length of 150 meters. Existing 200-meter reels can be physically connected to the unit, but due to limitations of the AHD converter, a stable full-color image is not guaranteed at lengths exceeding 150 meters. For reliable image quality and proper system operation, it is therefore necessary to use a compatible 150-meter Vicam reel.
